PULSE AR III

Description

PULSE AR III – Professional Pulse Induction Metal Detector with metal discrimination. Precision – Made in Germany

The pulse induction technology of PULSE AR III has decisive advantages compared to conventional VLF (very low frequency) detectors:

  • pulse induction system with microprocessor-controlled metal type indication
  • undisturbed search on mineralized soils and in salt water
  • 4 various searchcoils with automatic calibration
  • high sensitivity to gold and precious metals
  • convenient search and easy operation (prior knowledge or training courses are’nt necessary)

Spacious search areas:

Only the 1×1 m search frame (pulse induction technology) enables a comfortable and fast exploration of large areas. Example: the scanning of an area with the size of a soccer field will only take 3-4 hours, while the search with a conventional device with a panning coil would take several weeks.

The PULSE AR III was also developed for the search after large metal objects deep below the surface and is especially suitable for professional seekers who want to search in wide-ranging areas in a speedy and efficient manner (small parts, e.g. rusty nails or bottle caps are not indicated).

Up to 6 m (20 feet) depth performance with 2×2 m cable coil:
Only with our big searchcoil (2×2 m cable coil) and pulse induction technology it is possible to locate larger objects in a depth of up to 6 m. In comparison, conventional detectors with panning coils only allow a search depth of at the most 2 m.

Many mineralized soils contain stones with metallic characteristics which therefore are displayed as metal objects by the majority of detectors. Thus, a selective search is difficult.

Soils of this kind (the same goes for salt water) are no problem for PULSE AR III – with the Reset-button (automatic zero balance) most of the disturbing mineralized objects (which can lead to indication errors) are neutralized.

Metal discrimination

For metal discrimination the PULSE AR III is provided with a micro processor-controlled conductibility recording. Thereby metals like iron, copper, aluminum, gold or silver are discriminated and separately displayed.

The electronic unit is installed in a hard-wearing box. The main knob is attached to the front as well as the reset button, the frequency and volume regulation. The digital display indicates the various conductivity values

Search modes:

ID (Discrimination Mode)
In this search mode the discriminator comes into operation. Thereby an optical and acoustical discrimination takes place. The different metals will be signaled through varying tones and conductivity values.

Examples of different conductivity values:

light metals (e.g. aluminum)
copper
gold and precious metal
approx. 20-50
approx. 50-80
approx. 85 and over

AM (All Metals Mode)

All metals are visualized without discrimination (here the metals will not be examined for their conductivity).
This position has the advantage, that you can detect with the highest sensibility; through the indication value one can evaluate the object’s depth. The lower the value number, the deeper the metal object is hidden under the surface. The shape of the object can be identified also.

For the PULSE AR III we offer various waterproof searchcoils, which can be connected to the electronic unit without additional adjustment.

Automatic adjustment: To reach the optimal search depth, the adequate searchcoil should match the size of the object. PULSE III works with a variable search frequency between 1200-1600 Hz, therefore the application of all searchcoils is uncomplicated. The various searchcoils for the PULSE AR III are connected to the electronic unit in which a special circuit mechanism controls the coil electricity and adjusts the adequate search frequency automatically. By using the appropriate searchcoils (25 cm or 45 cm) smaller and medium-sized objects can be located. To reach an ideal search result – depending on size of object – the adequate searchcoil should be selected.
